Bangkok! (1)

Woke up at 4.30a.m. in the morning (I only had 3hours of sleep fyi). It was kind of early but oh well, everyone was excited to take the plane etc so the wake-up-too-early feeling was somehow being offset.

Ok, I remember how my parents were being some kanchiong spiders once we checked-in. Dad bought hard liquor for his friend in Thailand and we got a free gift; a really small reindeer. Hmm?

Nonetheless, it is kind of adorable (with the colours). Haha.

We took an SQ plane and as usual, the movies were awesome, totally!!!!
I was spoilt for choices. I think I ended up watching (500) Days of Summer which wasn't very nice, I feel.

Elder Sis. She calls me 'Sister 1' =.=

Younger sis.

Love this photo! Do you? :DDDDD

So,we took about 1.5hours to reach Bkk. Very short, can't even finish watching a movie. =S

Dad's friend came to pick us up from the airport and drove us to our hotel.

He was so hospitable! He drives a BMW but went to borrow this 7-seater car from his friend just for us. Haha, initially I thought this was his and was wondering how come he didn't know how to function this car. After which, I concluded, "He is those like, from poor become rich then don't know where to spend his money one. See, buy this car also don't know how to use." Haha!
I was wrong lah, of course! He's really rich, just that he doesn't dress like one.

So yeah, we reached Bangkok Centre Hotel.

Really cute Elephant made from towel! The Thais are very creative.

After that, we headed for Dim Sum for lunch. On the way there...

We saw a little boy in the middle of the road, dressed poorly etc, trying to sell flowers. It was said that the mum of this boy will dress him like that on purpose so that people will sympathise him. Oh well...

Then, it was shopping at Platinum Fashion Mall. Omg, I tell you, it was super duper duper duper awesome! They have almost 1000 shops there, categorised into different levels for your convenience. There's a total of 5 levels if I'm not wrong. Most importantly, they sell by wholesale prices so it'll be much more worth it to get more than 2 items.

It's a must-go, really!

Outside the mall.

Mum and younger sis slacking at Swensen's.

Elder sis and I. The fact that I'm already quite short shows something in the photo. *hint hint*

Oh just look at our faces, it was pure happiness. HAHA! So drama.

Guy selling some bubble toy was quite annoying.

Their security guards always have things to do, traffic problem is major in Bkk.

So we went back to hotel for a rest before Dad's friend came to fetch us for dinner.

Take a look at my cool-some hair! Haha.

The view from our room was errr.... interesting I must say.

Love Mr Sun! Makes the photo one class higher. Haha.

So yeah, slacking....

So we went to this really famous restaurant to eat whereby each table will have a personal waiter/waitress. It's a German + Thai fusion kind of restaurant. Very popular with both locals and foreigners.

This long tube of German beer is so cool!

We had people performing for us. There are people singing, performing gamelan or piano etc. A whole lot of chapalang, I guess. The noise inside this huge 2-storey restaurant was very overwhelming but surprisingly, the Thais love it. Oh yes, the food is good.

Glass bottles are da boomxz!

Mum, brother, younger sis.

"Cheers to good health!" Haha.

My watermelon juice was really awesome! At first I thought it would be just some normal, really normal watermelon juice. Seriously, it's damn nice. Ok, I don't think you are convinced. Oh well.

German pig's trotter. The mashed potato at the side is better, I feel. Haha.

Tom yam fish with veg on top. The veg tastes raw lor, but mum loves it!

Some beer contest. Haha, crazy guys.
Video-ed it down, hope I can upload soon.

After our wonderful dinner, we went to watch Muay Thai!
We encountered some problems at the entrance. As the tixs were too expensive, Dad's friend negotiated with the officials and it was seriously very scary since we didn't even know what they were talking about. The officials will look at you from top to bottom, point at you, that kind of thing. Nevertheless, we managed to enter and watch the authentic Thai boxing!

I guess these are the boys competing for that night's show.

The first one we watched was quite professional. Both parties weren't injured.

Some officials playing traditional Thai music for the boxers.

The whole lot of people there were placing their bets and making a lot of noise! Really an eye-opening experience.

We then stayed to watch the second one. The boys are younger, so very much amateurs.
It was even more interesting than the previous one. I will upload the video soon. The blood and all, very disgusting but nice. HAHA!

Struggling.

Zoom-in. Look at the water!

Enlarge the photo to see the blood on the guy's face wearing red boxers.

So, the Muay Thai concludes our Day One. It was really a nice experience!
Stay tune for Day Two!!! :DDDDDDDDD

Till then.
