It Ain't No Holiday!

These photos were taken during my bro's concert and the next day.
Mummy was telling me how cute and naive the nursery kids after the performance
as I didn't attend. They went up on stage without moving a bit, staring at space though they were brave enough not to cry in front of the audience. Haha! My bro acted as some sort of wave. Dad & Mum kept commenting on him saying that he's good. Hahaha! :DDD
After the concert @ the Expo, we went Genki for dinner as usual. The next day, went
Maxwell for their delicious curry rice and headed to Raffles City then. Mum was spending her own sweet time at Bossini to look for clothes for my lil sis and bro. So I decided to cam-whore to kill time. She spent about $100+ altogether. Tsk tsk tsk...
Went around shopping then we decided to go for a swim @ my dad's club.
Some wedding was held there too! :)))))))

Came back home from camp yesterday. I was so tired when I came home and slept from 8pm till this morning. ;) I hoped I have already replenished my energy for more band practice. Anyway, the camp was FUN! We had intensive trainings… games… night walk & cheers. The alumnis came back too! Mr Pan also arranged some master class for some section like the Percussions, Flutes & Clarinets. We had Mr Daniel Yeow as our instructor. His quite young and is from the Philharmonic Winds. His a funny FUNNY guy! Made us laugh and laugh. The first time when we met him, we were kind of scared of him and the way he conduct is quite different from our normal conducting as in we would normally say “1,2,3,4…” so that we would have time to position our clarinet into our mouth and blow. But he would say “3,4” in a fast speed so we were often late and he would “Tsk!” at us. Hahaha! This became his popular sign. He taught us a lot of things and of course we also want to thank Mr Pan to find us such a nice instructor! Mr Yeow is from Springfield Secondary last time and he played Tuba for 4yrs. Guess why he changed to Clarinet? Cos he was sick of tuba. -.- Hahaha. The flutes had Miss Leong to teach them and Mrs Tan for the percussions. Their good too!
Ok, for the first day, we had foot drills and most of the day sectionals.
Some of the bandits went to SP for a combined band with SP, SA and TWE to learn the syf set piece together. During the night, we had combined. The best part of the day was when we get to bathe. Oh yar, I was the duty NCO for the day. :) Some of us had our Solo performance that day and yes, I'm one of them. Scored 8.5/10, quite contented. During the lights out, we were running around bunks to bunks for food or rather snacks. Yiwen brought 3 big packets of prawn crackers! Then Taufiq and Kelvin kept scaring me saying those stupid ghost stuff to me, made my hair stand. When I'm trying to get some sleep after that, the majors called us to fall in the quadrangle. Ms Wong scolded us cos we were told to sleep immediately but we didn’t.
Hahaha, this is indeed our fault. ;)
The second day, woke up reluctantly. Had breakfast then intensive trainings.
It was great! We worked so hard and now we are seeing results. Jin Hao took us on warm-ups and chorales. Then Mr Pan took over for Ultimate Warm-ups. I'm so proud of myself that
I can actually play the running notes! :))))))) This is the day Mr Yeow came.
Had master class with him then it was lunch time. After that, we had woodwind combined with Mr Pan. I'm so happy that we're giving wonderful sound! We can't look on just one section that
is playing well but as a band we're improving! Then comes night time, we bathed and ate our dinner. Btw, this camp's food was fantastic! It was much more better. We had our another round of Solo performance. After that was games! Played 'Wacko' and 'Blow Wind Blow'.
Then we decided to have night walk. The secfours & alumnis planned everything and hid at
places to scare us. -.- Mr Pan was one of them too! Before that, the secfours and Mr Pan played
bball while we were playing our own games and i heard Mr Pan said, "Hao3 Qiu3!!".
I was laughing like some crazy person and i remembered Suzanna said that he seems
to be learning Chinese now cos he's saying Chinese every single minute. During combined band
or sectionals, he would talked to us in Chinese then back to English again. Haha!
The last day, had combined warm-up after breakfast again. Then we played 'Ghost Fleet'.
Mr Pan commented on us again, so happy! Mr Seah was touched too. He was sitting at the back of the hall listening to our playing and when we finished playing, he clapped loudly! :D
He told us about his love for music and when he hear good music, his hair will stand!
Btw, I had got the info wrongly. Mr Seah is just a temporary teacher in-charge cos he's a training teacher I guess. He might be back in 2008. So let me convince myself that Ms Wong
is not leaving. :))) We had master class again this time together with the juniors.
Mr Yeow taught us our syf set piece! :DDDD After that, we went up to the hall to see the re-dos
for their Solo performances. for this re-do, Mr Yeow and Miss Leong was the judge plus Mr Pan.
I wasn't included inside the re-dos. After that, both Miss Leong and Mr Yeow performed
a solo for us!!! It was fantastic I tell you. Again, Mr Seah's hair stand and he almost teared
when hearing Mrs Leong played her flute. I was dumbstruck when I heard Mr Yeow played
and also his side reading skills! Then it was break camp, etc. Debrief by Mr Seah, so sad.
It's his last day with us. :( Did i leave anything out?

PS: I want to go Popeyes!
